Greece - access to cash at ATMs

I wondered if anyone had been to Greece recently and if so, what's the currency situation like? We're planning to take some cash but a bit reluctant to carry all cash if the ATMs are now queue free and have cash in them.

Some work mates have just come back from Kos and they said there was no problem. No queues and no problem getting cash out, they were told it's something to do with the machine recognising the card is from the UK.

There's not been any problem getting money from machines for tourists as the restrictions never really applied.

 

The only issue was the queue's to get to one, but thats not stopped.

I took cash recently to Skiathos, but the ATMs were working fine. No queues other than what you would normally expect, maybe one or two people.

Any idea on cost of meals, wine, beers out there? We've been all inclusive for the past few years so have got no idea on how much stuff might be.
