yellowperil
Dont you think its relevant to the jobsearch? Some degree courses are useless here in the real world.
1978
To be fair, it's a little unrealistic to expect someone to put the same sort of effort into a post on SF that they would when they're filling in an application. Without knowing the subject and class of degree it's hard not to assume that the OP will get a very similar response wherever he/she applies. Many employers find it hard to fill positions with trained staff in specific disciplines. The ability to get on with other people is a basic requirement in most jobs, and needs to be accompanied with relevant knowledge and interests. The information given so far is too vague to attract many employers interest. The attributes listed are seen very often on applications so wouldn't stand out. mickey finn
What are you a graduate of ? What subject? Your communication skills arent that good though, you were asked a straightforward question and failed to give a straightforward answer. Do you think the grass will be greener somewhere else? Not to worry, the 6 weeks holidays will soon be up and you will be back at school
yellowperil
I fail to see what you are getting at? What in my post made you think im a schoolkid. Are you a fellow graduate? The subject of the degree is relevant as has been said by someone else too.

Anna B
Do Universities still do the milk round, recruiting new graduates, or has that passed into history with so many other things?
Unisol
A tip from me is that you don't have to necessarily look for jobs advertised, just try dropping in on companies that may interest you. I've set loads of people on over the years just by people doing this.
Cyclone
Do Universities still do the milk round, recruiting new graduates, or has that passed into history with so many other things? Yes, that still happens, but if the OP is already a graduate I think they've missed their chance (for this year at least). ---------- Post added 21-08-2015 at 07:32 ---------- No answer on what the degree was in then... GoGo_dancer
If you need a job, the big retail stores will be starting to recruit temporary Christmas staff. It's a great way to get some experience in customer service under your belt and looks good on your CV. Some places even extend contracts after Christmas for those who perform well and go on to offer retail management development training.
