JFKvsNixon
If it's not in a contract (so not been paid) then don't go. If I wasn't being paid by my employer then I wouldn't work. I always leave when I stop being paid, FULL STOP! It will be in your contract to attend mandatory training.

GLASGOWOODS
Not only does everyone in my role have to do mandatory training on our days off we have to pay for it ourselves at hundreds of pounds a time. Are you employed in the care sector?
JFKvsNixon
Are you employed in the care sector? I knew of agency workers that had to pay for their own training. ---------- Post added 24-08-2015 at 19:35 ---------- Oh - mandatory training will (clue in the name) but other 'training' won't be. I suspect that we're talking about mandatory training here.
Mister M
Years ago when I was a care assistant we had to attend training sessions after finishing 12 hour shifts. I'm glad I got out of that role. Care homes get thousands a week for people on the minimum wage to do the hard graft.
