Fullwood cottage homes

Hi,

I'm trying to discover more about my family.

My mother was a triplet and after their mother died as a result of child birth, in 1932, they were placed in Fullwood cottage homes. I believe the boy died leaving my mum and her sister, who would then be considered twins. Their name was Jessie and Margaret, the boy's name Walter. Can anyone who may have known them enlighten me please? I have heard terrible stories from their childhood there x

There is a very good thread about FCH, poss more than one. Worth a read through.

 

I take your point about the horror stories, but some kids had a good life in there too.

I've read the threads, a lot seem later, 1940s-1950s.

Hoped someone may remember them, can't have been that many triplets/ twins around in the 30s.
