El Cid
Never stopped you using them when you wanted to paint people in a bad light Mr Cid. I like to have discussions, but I have no expertise, helps me learn things. I thought things would be a little shaky when I started hearing about Chinas troubles, but there were pundits on both sides last week. I think the CBI like to encourage a positive view, just like the party in power does.

I1L2T3
Blame the Chinese , not the Tories It's on Osborne's watch just like 2008 was on Brown's watch. If its handled badly he's to blame. He's probably gonna regret doubling the national debt pretty soon, after 5 years of spending money like it grew on trees. Reckoning time.
drummonds
Blame the Chinese , not the Tories yes the communists screwed up. fortunately our government weren't taking any notice of those who wanted us to carry on overspending otherwise our economy might be taken down like it was in 2007. It could be worse this time. HSBC is instrumental in stoking bubbles in China and it is HQ'd here. Osborne has failed to regulate it.
JFKvsNixon
Chinese shares plunged due to Labour’s overspending, insists George Osborne. “Once again we see the results of the woeful mismanagement of the economy by Labour” More here.
blake
only one recession in the early 90s, happened on the Tory watch, and they still managed to win the 1992 election that was held in its midst. what Labour would like, in 2020 is for them to inherit an excellent economy without them having to fire a single shot, like they did in 1997, however that is not going to happen. JFKvsNixon
The 80s too! Weren't there a couple in the 1980s? One around the Falklands War, and one after the big crash in 1987?
