Do they? Have they done another survey?

TJC1 thought they had, sadly his or her reading skills let them down again, in fact mumsnet was talking about a day trip to Surry.

There is no evidence. None. Not a bit. Nothing. What you have is an internet survey filled out by (for all we know) 50 year old men pretending to be female or silly little girls doing a bit of internet trolling for kicks. We dont know anything from this 'evidence'

Because you said 50 year old men pretending to be little girls. It seems far fetched

Just for clarity and also a little more proof (not that it were needed) that TJC1 is just on the troll. :)

It was that survey with those 75 year old men pretending to be small boys...on mumsnet

One last time. Why would men want to incriminate other men? What would be the motivation?

I would find it odd and extremely unlikely.

Absolute nonsense idea. For anyone agreeing with such garbage perhaps the following could be answered:

1) If stats showed white people were more likely to be at risk of a crime on a train, would there be racial segregation with white only carriages? If not, why not? Because that is the application of the same logic.

2) As a male, why should I be discriminated against for the actions of a small minority who happen to share my gender?

3) If we have gender equality then why would one gender be treated as more vulnerable and in need of additional protection?

4) Would users of the female only carriages pay a premium price to reflect their priority service?

5) Why is my safety any less important than a woman's safety? I don't like sharing transport with hooligans, will any special options be available to me?

You don't reckon some people pretend to be what they aren't on the net?

Why should Females pay a premium when this whole issue is a male problem?

Yes. But not to skew the survey. i believe close to 1600 women responded with genuine answers.

Is that statistically significant? I think it at least gives an indication that many more crimes go unrecorded against women...83% said they didnt report to police...

According to the Rail Safety Standards Board all assaults are up on the railways. They're blaming it on there being fewer staff around. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/rail-staffing-cuts-blamed-for-shocking-increase-in-passengers-being-attacked-on-britains-trains-10416174.html

I wonder if this is a pattern we will see repeated across society in general with ever increasing cuts in policing?
