I think the train police would have no option but to assume the hubby was a paedophile (because some men are) and banish him to the scummy carriage away from his family.

Wonder who's going to look after his young daughters if he's travelling without the wife?

Unless there is space for every women that travels on the train, it won't stop opportunist attacks. For the attacker that plans their actions, this won't stop them attacking women, they'll do it elsewhere. So what really is the point of this proposal?

There would be a direct hotline to Jeremy Corbyn to come in and baby sit, whilst he simultaneously fends off all of the sex pests with his bare hands. He would be granted access to the female only carriage as The Great Messiah and Supreme Leader.

Now I'm really confused. I thought your criteria for getting a separate carriage was based on probability of being a victim of crime, not vulnerability. So it's vulnerability now is it? In that case, what about a separate carriage for disabled people? Or perhaps disabled men could be allowed in the women's one? What about children? They're more vulnerable than women, do they get their own carriage? They'd have to be accompanied by parents though, some of whom could be dads. But they're men so they could be paedophiles right? Maybe the children only carriage could give dads a video link from the unsafe carriage further down the train, and mums could be allowed in with them?

With loony ideas like this, we should be standing for Labour leadership.

Its a consultation. Not corbyns idea.

Men can't control themselves, same reason for women wearing the burqa, should we suggest women on trains must wear a burqa?

men not controlling themselves is same as women wearing the burqa. Thats a new one on me.

The whole story is fabrigated. Corbyn never said what is claimed. He said he would talk about the problem with women.

Of course. Its not a proposal...its a discussion.

Its not a proposal. Corbyn asked for views.

It's a terrible idea as its holding up a white flag to abusive males.

The correct solution is to tackle their behaviour and continue to develop a society where woman are not seen as objects.

An optional female only carriage is part of a solution.
