Firstly it might not fly due to the discrimination laws.

Secondly assuming it does can we have men only carriages please?

Why do you need men only carriages?

How about segregating along racial lines to prevent racist attacks... is that a good idea?

There isn't enough room on trains during peak times as it is without segregating everyone.

Seriously, you think fear of a £20 fine for entering a 'Women Only' carriage is going to stop people willing to risk prison by committing sex attacks?

Maybe we should listen to women about this? Thats who is being attacked. I see no harm in having carriages if it makes women feel safer.

False accusations of rape are a common problem - I think if we have a carriage of our own then we are going to be safe from women doing that to us.

Sounds ridiculous doesn't it. It's as ridiculous as women only carriages.

Its a male problem. If men could control themselves we wouldnt be having this debate.

Let me correct you, its a problem some men (a tiny minority) have. Ive never had any problem controlling myself and im a man.

Once again your logic wins the day..i guess if youve never been sexually assaulted multiple times its easy to be blaze.

Interesting media spin on this story.

On the face of it, it's made to look like Corbyn suggested this loony idea.

Yet when you read much further in, it says:

Corbyn said: “Some women have raised with me that a solution to the rise in assault and harassment on public transport could be to introduce women only carriages.

and is taking something away from the actual topic of women being harassed.

As a haven from the incessant inane wittering about hair and nails and shopping and babies and Julie's new man.

Take out the babies and you could have a Gay Men Only Carriage too, or a Straight Men Only Carriage with beer pumps and football screens.
