alice_0807
Me and my partner have just moved to sheffield in the Nether Edge area. We are both 22, looking for things to do on an evening or on a weekend that doesn't cost too much. We would also like to know of the best places to go out on a night- pubs, bars and clubs are all welcome suggestions. Thanks!

Tess
You're not far from London Road, which has an array of fab restaurants and cafes on. Couple of pubs too. You're also not far from Ecclesall Road which has loads of bars and restaurants on. Majority of bars are for a younger crowd and most of the eateries are pretty good too. DnAuK
Probably easier to help if you state what kind of places you're looking for. Take pubs for example - do you want quiet pubs, music bars, sports bars? wine Bars? good beer pubs or nightclubs? Foodwise is it cheap and cheerful or honest good value cooking? English, European or International? Sheffield is a big city with something for everyone. And as already been stated, at Nether Edge you're not far from a lot of it. Once you know what you're looking for.

Onthetyne
Where would you advise they go if they were young professionals? Some where that avoids the oiks, the unwashed and lager louts
Jonny5
The Broadfield is imo the best pub in Sheffield and is in Netheredge. On the other side of the rail line from Netheredge are the Brothers Arms, Tramshed and White Lion. All fantastic. The Sheaf is also a very good pub but getting a bit tatty now. The best cheap thing to do is get out into the Peak District. But there are a few small galleries and museums worth a visit plus plenty of parks.
