Should thhere be a military coup in the UK?

Recommended Posts

Purely to secure the borders as clearly successive governments including this one have shown themselves to be utterly useless.

All other functions of government would be left to the sitting government as it is.

A great portion of these "migrants/asylum seekers" flooding into western Europe are bound to be ISIS fighters. Do we just sit and wait for Mumbai style attacks on Meadowhall/Crystal Peaks etc, or do we do something meaningful about it?

If there is a military coup surely there is no democracy.

Therefore the sitting government have no power. What other aspects of running the country would the military take?

Billions from the coffers for new weapons etc?

The decision to invade other countries, make war without government intervention.

It wouldn't happen and thankfully it can't.

Many Generals who are fantastic at making war and rebuilding countries following the war would not be of much use at running a democracy.

 The first line of the OP was "purely to secure the borders".

No.

The government is quite capable of doing this.

They don't because essentially it is not the settled will of the UK people that it should be done.

1. Withdraw from the EU

2. Change the law so that immigration candidates not having been granted permission in advance are held in detention and returned home if their application fails.

It will be the settled will of the UK people after a few Mumbai style attacks on shopping centres like Meadowhall.

Edit: actually it is already the settled will of most people for those things to be done.

No it's not. Otherwise they would have voted UKIP and we'd be abut to have a referendum on withdrawing from the EU.

Not far off 4 million people did vote for UKIP. Not bad for a small party. Also Britain sends mainly Eurosceptic MP's to Brussels or Strasburg or wherever it bleedin is.

Now if each of those people could persuade 4 more to do the same....
