JFKvsNixon
Barcelona madrid etc would never have given permission for our new buildings like st pauls place to have been built You need to think again. If this took me a minute to find, imagine what other monstrosities lay in just those two cities? six45ive
I see a lot of confusion on this thread about what's ugly and what isn't. Will a building grow on me? (whatever that means). This video may be of help to some people. Hopefully it will clarify what conditions are objectively necessary for creating a more aesthetically pleasing built environment. Guest
... http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02159/mirador_2159744k.jpg. ... Oooh, that one's particularly charming. I believe the university has something like that in mind for the old Henderson's building.

I never said it was the worst, I said that if it took me a minute to find these just image what other monstrosities might be out there. I find this one to be particularly awful:http://www.wandererguides.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Torres-de-Colon.jpg I actually really like this one, the more I look at it:http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02159/mirador_2159744k.jpg
horribleblob
...Barcelona: http://ee24.com/media/articles/uploads/2014/05/29/walden_7.jpg... Oddly enough, I think that, had Antoni Gaudi been alive today, it's possible he would have given this the thumbs-up.
samssong
The diamond building which looks like a giant egg that has been laid at the side of the old Jessops building at Brookhill has been nominated as one of the most ugly Architectural disasters in England. So Sheffield could have another string to its bow the ugliest building in our Country.
perplexed
I actually quite like it. I have to say, that if people think that's one of the ugliest buildings in the UK, they don't get out much!
