NEIL DIAMOND TRIBUTE & SOUL NIGHT

Geoff Stax was the vocalist and founder of the 11 piece Stax Atlantic Soul band "Night Train".

Geoff Spent 5 years touring both the UK and Spain, appearing on TV on more than one occasion in both Countries ..

"I discovered an uncanny vocal resemblance to Neil Diamond when we were on tour, and our M.D. prepared a superb soul version of Sweet Caroline that became our signature tune"

As a result, Geoff accepted an offer to work as his 'double' at the invitation of the Spanish Tourist Board and present a tribute show touring the Costas & Gibraltar, as part of a promotional roadshow, performing in Hotels 'open air' Stadiums, and the now famous Benidorm Palace for two seasons.

He is continuing to tour the UK with this very unique show, that includes a very special satellite link with Barbara Streisand in which they perform the duet 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers'.

It is fair to say that the two genres of Soul & Neil Diamond are so contrasting that many venues present the night as two separate shows!

This is a truly unique show, covering a wide spectrum of popular music that never fails to deliver a superb night of entertainment!

About the Band

The Guitar HeroesFront man Andy Bareham - has toured with Mott the Hoople. He was signed as a songwriter to MCA music. He then became involved in Britpop with the band Molotov whose album was recorded in Switzerland. He has been personally endorsed by Brian May and Jim Beach, the manager of Queen. He has even appeared on ‘Eastender’s singing at the Queen Vic!

Bass player Santiago Horro - has played gigs such as the late great John Peel’s Radio 1show,the Meltdown festival, ICA, Islington Academy, the last ever gig at the Hammersmith Palais and supports for The Fall, Suicide, Julian Cope and more. he has also toured all over Europe and the USA and played at the London Jazz Festival and Radio 3 on double bass in the Luke Barlow Band and he played with Robbie Williams once but doesn't like talking about it.. He also has the coolest name in rock!

Keys and Backing vocals Matt Fowler - doesn’t have the coolest name in rock! But he has played with the Spiders from Mars, toured with Uriah Heep, Saxon and many others… played with Molotov, Dexy’s Midnight Runners and Dangerous, a band that had a residency at the Marquee Club and a session on the Friday Night Rock Show. He then spent 12 years with Who’s Who, the world’s most revered Who tribute band touring Britain, Europe and Dubai.

Guitarist and Backing Vocals Guy Hart - aka Randy Strummers is a London based songwriter and guitarist. He has played with many artists and once played a tea party for the late great John Peel and has even had roast chicken with Patti Boyd, aka Layla of Eric Clapton fame. For several years he shared the same hairdresser as the Cure but unfortunately this is no longer possible!

Drummer and Backing Vocals Steve Necchi - the man with the sticks is the dark horse of the band but one thing's for sure he is a killer drummer and a wicked singer!!
