Crisis, what crisis

Recommended Posts

Just listening to a radio program about the foot n mouth crisis, and wondering how much these crises' have cost over the years.

The miners strike, the lack of bank regulation; how much did they cost the country, any other big ****-ups?

Didn't the NHS spend a few billion on a crappy computer system?

UK GDP is almost £2trillion/year.

Total government spending is over £700billion/year.

The annual NHS budget is over £130billion/year.

Waste is bad. Loss is bad. But lets have a sense of proportion when we talk about national scale issues.
