I never had that problem. Fitting a battery is dead easy by the way - unplug, swap, plug, done.
*Wallace*
Certain cars do have a code for the stereo best to make sure first.
alchresearch
I never had that problem. Fitting a battery is dead easy by the way - unplug, swap, plug, done. Every car is different. Peugeot radios don't have a code, the car's VIN is programmed into it. But a BSI reset must be performed if the battery is taken off. Same on Citroens. http://www.petercoopercarrepairs.co.uk/peugeot_bsi_reboot_procedure.htm

Obelix
I never had that problem. Fitting a battery is dead easy by the way - unplug, swap, plug, done. Depends on the car. Some will need the charging module telling there is a new battery fitted, especially important if you change the size of the battery as well. I must have been lucky Did it on a Peugeot 206 and a Ford Focus both with no problems at all - straight off, straight on. Suppose all makes are different. Penistone999
Does anyone know where I can buy and have fitted a new battery for my car in the Killamarsh area? I am on a budget so don't want to go overboard with the price. Cant you fit it yourself ? Its only a 30 second job. ---------- Post added 11-11-2016 at 21:14 ---------- Remember if your radio has a code you will lose it when the battery is disconnected. Make sure you have the code first. You can easily pick up the code on the tinternet for nowt if you have a look at the car forums.
