Corbett died many years ago at a young age No Wilfred Bramble is dead. There was some talk a number of years ago about a remake of Steptoe and Son, I don't think any thing came of it. I do not think it would be as good as the original. Who would they get to play the part? Bramble and Corbertt were brilliantly cast as father and son. Who would they get to play the part? Bramble and Corbertt were brilliantly cast as father and son. There was an American version called Sandford and Son and the pair of them were black.
