Going chemical free

Please Don't feed the Troll

I posted a genuine thread. I don't see how I'm a troll....:loopy:

---------- Post added 01-09-2015 at 16:03 ----------

Avoiding processed meat and foods

Eating or growing organic veg and fruit

Not using shampoo

Using natural alternatives to soap and moisturiser

I'm stuck on the under arm spray bit!

Anyone else do this partially or is interested in a chemical free existence which is better for health and the environment?

Any tips?

For anyone genuinely interested in this lifestyle, here's the original. ....before the trolls got involved

We all know that too much salt kills. So does too much water.

What doesn't kill you, is shampoo, used to wash your hair.

The reason we're talking about salt is that you thought the scary chemical fact sheet would prove something, it did, that shampoo will sting if you get it in your eyes.

We're also talking about salt because you want to cut out chemicals. Not cut down on them. Not stop adding extra. Cut them out.

We've established that too much salt will kill you, we've also established that too little will kill you.

So why are you wanting a diet that is impossible, but if it were possible, would be quite quickly fatal?

I don't think you're a troll, I think you're suffering from all or nothing thinking and a lack of critical thought and reason.

No it's a troll. Reposting the same question or variations thereof to get a reaction is what defines a troll. It merits nothing further of anyones time, least of all mine which is why it's been blocked.

Thats you in a nutshell. I'm happy it's blocked less happy you chose to come on my thread and abuse me in first place.

The evidence I've seen makes this lifestyle choice a sound and relevant one....For health reasons and the environment.

You missed a bit out, the bit that actually caused most of the discussion.

Been slowly edging towards going chemical free. This is on the basis that everything put on or in the body adds to toxicity levels

This little gem of nonsense.

Personally, I think you're right to keep the levels of processed meats low, they're are clear links between processed meats and ill health.

I think the data is rather ambivalent regarding organic fruit and veg, but so long as you're eating veg (less so fruit) then that's a good thing for your health.

The bit about soap and shampoo, complete rubbish IMO.

Oh, and I offered you a solution to the deodorant ages ago.

Cheaper ones are available, that just demonstrates what I'm talking about. Rock salt basically, don't eat it.

You can't explain what the lifestyle even is because you keep espousing massive over generalisations.

Chemicals are not bad, everything is composed of chemicals.

Toxins need to be defined before you can consider ways to avoid them.

So it's a good reason to cut out then....

GOOD GOD stop being stupid man.

If you could cut it out, which you cannot, you would die.

It's a good reason to only consume it in a healthy moderated dose.

The threads not exactly intended for chemistry geniuses like you...We are but mere mortals forgive us for we know not what we do!

Will give you one example.

Pesticide grown fruit and veg

Vs

Organic

Are you convinced pesticides aren't bad for health and the environment?

Do you think it's better to eat pesticide than go organic? Same? Worse?
