That's the problem with celebs like these two and the likes of Lenny Henry and Dawn French etc, they just don't know what to do with them, and anything they do try like this is just painful to watch. The B.B.C just resort to sending them across South America, Africa, the Antarctic etc in a balloon or vintage camper van, get them to eat some insects and make them cry on camera.........oh, and pay them a fortune in license payers money. taxman Posted September 8, 2015 Share Posted September 8, 2015 The Enfield and Whitehouse thing was pretty horrible stuff. Real car-crash tv at times. Is blacking up really acceptable these days? Even satirical blacking up? On the other hand, I thought that Lenny Henry's autobiographical thing was pretty good. I'm not much of a fan of him, but it was well written and thought provoking. Two very different shows on the same night. Hard not to black up if you are doing an impersonation of Lenny Henry, Nelson Mandela or Levi Roots, I would have thought.
