Being sworn at for no reason..

Recommended Posts

I visited the center on Saturday during the day for the first time in months and I have to say it did shock me to see numerous beggars scattered everywhere and (more than I ever remember seeing before) most looked like Eastern European women. I was not impressed by the old bloke I passed spitting everywhere either, disgusting habit. I go out regularly in the evening down town and find the atmosphere better to be honest.

Sheffield Centre?

I live here and sadly I see this type of behaviour all the time.

The data proves the city centre is much more dangerous and more crime and anti social behaviour than other neighbourhoods In sheffield.

Crime more common in city centre than leafy suburb. Shocker. Hold the front page!

Sheffield is relatively safe. However on analysis of the data I was surprised to see its not as safe as some other places in south yorkshire, including rotherham.

How did you manage to come to that conclusion? (Not that Rotherham is a city or of a similar size, so not a good comparison anyway.

all intimidating...kind of behaviour you find in town...west street and around is a cesspit of scummery.

Ah yes, the intimidating chewing of gum. So scary.

i was actually walking near Fitzalan square yesterday, and a young boy, probably somewhere between 11-13, came up to me. He was holding a big bottle of pepsi against his crotch area, and he asked me several inappropriate questions. I was shocked so i replied "why are you saying that?" and he walked towards me with the bottle. Eventually his brother I assume called him and smacked him on the head. They were in a group. I'm just surprised by how kids are today and how sexually exposed they are at such a young age for them to be able to make those kind of gestures. It is disturbing

I was at work yesterday and was sworn at, insulted and ridiculed by a lovely chap - because what he was after wasn't in stock. This man was in his 60's, wearing a suit and made a point of saying he "owns a jaguar"...

Anyone can be capable of swearing, its not just youths these days.

I was walking down Chapel Walk the other week, and two boys were walking with a girl who was on her mobile. The boys were making what I can only describe as pornographic noises so the person at the other end of the phone could hear it. I found it quite disturbing, they can't have been much older than 11 or 12.

I can only assume the OP is female, Muslim, or both.

In which case, according to the victim-blamers here on SF, it's her own fault for leaving the house in the first place.

Perhaps she should flee to Syria, and join ISIS or something instead.
