Grahamfff
We will shortly be taking the overnight ferry from Hull to Rotterdam. Does anyone know the best way to travel on to Amsterdam? Thanks

ECCOnoob
I would say first point would be to check with P&O Ferries. They usually run a coach transfer service for foot passengers. If not the train is dead easy and only takes about an hour.
Grahamfff
No, just booked the ferry, then booked our accommodation in Amsterdam seperately. ---------- Post added 03-09-2015 at 23:21 ---------- I would say first point would be to check with P&O Ferries. cgksheff
How do we get from the ferry port to the main train station? You should pre-book the P&O Coach. Either by phone/email now or onboard.

Is that a coach to the main Rotterdam train station, or to Amsterdam? If the latter, isn't the train much quicker?
RonJeremy
Double deck train. Smooth clean, on time reliable and frequent. And you get to see endless greenhouses on the way through. (Or you could just gawp at your ipad instead)

From the ferry terminal you can get a bus/coach to either Rotterdam station or Amsterdam Central. But like others have said it is best to book a ticket direct to Amsterdam in advance with P&O. sheffandy
If you take the car, use the park and ride just outside Amsterdam, its 1 Euro. We've done the overnight to Rotterdam twice(last Aug and this year at the start of Apr), dead easy, they make it so.simple to travel. We didn't go as far as Amsterdam, but people we met both times that recommended the Park N Ride highly. Enjoy Holland, it's a great country. Did you book one of P&O's truckers mini cruises? If so the transfer to the Amsterdam should be included. We did it to Bruges a while back. Was fun.
