Kateykrunch
I know, I know, bought it off ebay, looks lovely (tub chair), but it smells of either cigarette smoke (although seller insists they are a smoke free home) or even the actual faux leather - so far I have tried baby wipes, leather wipes, washing up liquid and fabreze and I've aired it in the garden. Any tips on how to get rid of the smell? Thanks in anticipation x
GLASGOWOODS
You could stitch your nostrils up.
JackK0
Just a matter of time I guess if it has been in a smoke home, I mean if you have tried all that it must be really bad to still be there
RiffRaff
Similar problem with something (smaller) a few weeks ago, but smelling musty as well....like in an old church, and/or having been in a damp, fusty environment. Like you, tried everything - Febreze, fresh air, polish....no joy. Worse yet, it seemed to even impregnate the room it sat in! Eventually cracked it by sealing it in a couple of bin bags with a load of Bounce-type tumble drier sheets for a couple of days, then outside in the fresh air for a few hours before another bag session with new Bounce thingies. Problem solved. All I have to do now is get rid of the (granted, nicer!) 'summer fresh, blue skies' aroma!
medusa
Do you have access to a steam cleaner? They are usually pretty good for removing smells.
