Ganapati Groove: Yoga Party

Recommended Posts

15:00 to 23:00, 10 October 2015

Old Sharrow Junior School, South View Road, Sheffield

We are delighted to invite you to the next Ganapati Groove conscious gathering. There will be live music, yoga, conscious dance, kirtan, massage and activities for the whole family. As usual, there will also be a feast of veg, vegan & raw food and cakes. Embark upon a journey into bliss through an exploration of the healing vibrations of mantra, yoga and dance meditation with no alcohol or drugs involved.

With our very special guests Lucinda Drayton (Bliss), Babaji Temple Singers and DJ Darshana

Lucinda Drayton (Bliss)

Lucinda Drayton is a highly successful singer/songwriter. She has written a number one hit song and sold over 100,000 albums on her own label Blissful Records and performs live all over the world. Lucinda is well known for co-writing and performing the spiritual classic 'A Hundred Thousand Angels'. She has just released her latest album entitled 'The Road Less Travelled' which has been two years in the making. Lucinda is also a meditation teacher and practitioner and will be sharing some of these skills with us on the evening. http://www.blissfulmusic.com

Babaji Temple Singers

Babaji Temple Singers are a collective of people inspired by Babaji. Babaji's teachings are simple: to repeat mantras and serve each other in truth, simplicity and love. At Ganapati Groove the Babaji Temple Singers will treat us to a wonderful kirtan, so get ready to open your hearts and sing and dance or if you prefer just sit still and soak up all that lovely healing energy. "When we play everyone is singing with full voice and dancing. It's like a cosmic rave." Tabla tOM

Conscious Dance with DJ Darshana

DJ Darshana will be leading a whole new conscious dance at the event. Expect another cosmic alchemical fusion of dynamic beats, divine disco, world tribal grooves and devotional chants that will take you on a journey into bliss. At the last Ganapati Groove, DJ Darshana had everyone up dancing, young and old, and it was a highlight of the evening for many.

Delicious and Nutritious Food & Drink

As always the amazing Percy & Lily's will be providing us with a feast of veg, vegan & raw food along with cakes, juices and teas. Kitchen open from 5pm to 9pm. http://www.percyandlilys.co.uk

Family Yoga and Adult Yoga

As usual there will be family yoga with Joanna Bertzeletos of Yoga Nature. This time there will also be two taster sessions of adult yoga with local yoga teachers. The world of yoga is so huge and varied these days, why not give a different style of yoga a try?

Craft Corner

Join us at the craft corner for lots of great, creative fun for all ages. Last time we had shadow puppets, mandalas and patches of peace, who knows what you will be creating this time? Plus don't forget the face painting!

Décor

Cloud Nine Décor will be decorating the venue with some of their amazing giant crotchet flowers, flags and colourful bunting. Cloud Nine Décor create gorgeous colourful décor for all kinds of events, including this year's Glastonbury festival! http://www.cloudninedecor.co.uk

Massage and Other Therapies

There will be lovely massage sessions and other therapies available throughout the evening.
