That doesn't explain why,if the council is cheaper and better as you said,so many transport contracts are offered..

 

My politics are that there is little difference between public and private.

 

But both can con the council out of millions, a maintenance contractor for the council recently went bust, leaving the council millions out of pocket.

if the public sector iso great why did all the blocks of council flats have to be pulled down after around 30 years when there are thousands of privately owned and built houses 100, 200 or more years old, that are still going strong?

 

A sports centre lasted around 35 years in my area, because its replacement was a PFI.

 

It was £6 million for a refurb, or £16 million for a brand new PFI building which would cost them nothing now, just PFI monthly payments.
