Halt immigration immediately and restrict child benefit to the first child only. Do a media campaign extolling the virtues of having only one child and also of having no children.

How very Chinese.

I never had you down as a Communist. Welcome Comrade, we should meet up and discuss our 5 year plans.

I could never live in a built up urban ,noisy area. =Im happiest where i am , in a very rural location and total piece and quiet .

People pay a premium for a rural lifestyle and this is why im so bitterly against building on greenbelt land ,because it would spoil what we pay good money for ........ a tranquil lifestyle without the housing estates and all the problems they bring.

What premium did you pay?

I didn't.

Having lived in what you describe as "built up urban" Sheffield for 60 years I made the move to rural life without the "premium" you speak of.

I guess it depends what you call a desirable area.....not sure Penistone would do it for me.

I doubt my village would suit everyone either.....a very remote village....few facilities...but peace and quiet.

According to that map Maltby and Wath on Dearne are two of the happiest places to live.

I don't know why anyone would find that surprising, Maltby is a very nice place to live, lots of open space, polite friendly people, easy access to open countryside, easy access to the surrounding cities, streets that are safe, very little crime, no racial tensions caused by mass immigration, affordable housing with good sized gardens. Whats not to like?:)
