Are you mad enough to march?

Recommended Posts

That nasty Conservative party. How dare they boost employment to record levels, grow the economy, halve the structural deficit, and increase the national minimum wage to £9 an hour by 2020.

At huge expense to community

Huge expense to the vulnerable

Have you ANY IDEA how much people are suffering?

Of the numbers having to resort to food banks, IN BRITAIN!! For godsake!

Shame on you!

Working days lost in the public sector = 76,000

Working days lost in the private sector = 68,000

Not a great deal of difference.

we have a safety net if people abuse it then its up them, nobody in this country is in real hardship? people suffer due to lifestyle choices in the UK, spending welfare on booze drugs, cigs sky etc etc.

I am busy, but uif you dont like those figures, here are some more, more trust worthy.

In 2011 there were 88 stoppages in the public sector compared with 61 in the private sector after a fairly even split in the number of disputes in 2010.

Perhaps you can read all the information, and find some figures that you like?

What is the real difference between getting food from food banks and using benefits to buy food?

Some people dont have enough money after stoppages...anyway its not just those on benefits..what about families with kids that are using them.

Will there be a "When are we finally going to get some austerity" march?

National debt doubled [LINK]

Deficit targets missed [LINK]

Benefits and state pensions bill hits record high [LINK]

Does this really sound like austerity?

Yes it's already happened - though so few people attended, it went unnoticed http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2011/apr/04/pro-cuts-rally-against-debt :hihi:

Toby Young who championed the idea of a pro austerity march, eventually didn't go to it - favouring attending a tax payer funded show about Pirates instead: http://politicalscrapbook.net/2011/05/toby-young-rally-against-debt-pirate-exhibition/

Lots of people feel shame about using foodbanks. I wonder if there is a link between the shame people feel in using food banks and the stigma that is extremely prevalent nowadays?
