BarryRiley
Have you not been keeping up with current events? You mean the twist on the 'current events' offered by the mainstream media? I wouldn't bother. There are far more interesting places to absorb propaganda ---------- Post added 24-09-2015 at 11:15 ---------- Read the news for yourself. You can't just claim something and then when challenged say 'look it up'. The burden of proof is on you.

Timeh
And this is the best you can come up with? Are you asking or telling? ---------- Post added 24-09-2015 at 13:15 ---------- How anyone has managed to jump from stealing apples to 9/11 in one go is perverted genius. You can't have two more different crimes. Next - the direct link between illegal parking and the Holocaust. :hihi:

Cyclone
Y You can't just claim something and then when challenged say 'look it up'. The burden of proof is on you. Normally I'd agree, but if you ask me to prove that the sky is blue I'll also tell you that it's common knowledge. ---------- Post added 24-09-2015 at 15:08 ---------- Regardless of anything else there is far too much jaywalking in this country. In this country there is no such thing. It's a law that was created under the pressure of vehicle manufacturers in the US and it shouldn't exist, and fortunately doesn't in the UK. RootsBooster
Name them. Are they the norm - are most of the cause célèbre innocent people with no criminal record (which would make my ststement untrue, with my use of the word 'usually')? Do they outweight the number of other races who die in police custody? Were the police found to be at fault in such cases? This sounds like the sort of baseless generalisation used on social media, knee-jerk attacks on police brutality. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Sandra_Bland https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Jonathan_Sanders https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Eric_Garner https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Freddie_Gray

It was obvious to me that he was making the point that when 9/11 happened many NYPD officers went into the stricken building in an attempt to save as many lives as possible and it's a pretty fair assumption that some among them knew that they had little or no chance of getting out. But don't let me disillusion you people in your blissful bias. Now repeat after me everybody "all American cops are white racist rednecks" Again.... one more time Keep repeating it. cassity
knee-jerk attacks on police brutality. How would you like to see 'police brutality' attacked? ---------- Post added 24-09-2015 at 18:35 ---------- It was obvious to me that he was making the point that when 9/11 happened many NYPD officers went into the stricken building in an attempt to save as many lives as possible and it's a pretty fair assumption that some among them knew that they had little or no chance of getting out. Nonsense. The human psyche doesn't work like that. When those buildings came down everyone to a man and woman were stunned...worldwide. Those in the emergency services were doing what they were paid and trained to do. Telling anyone of those men/women that went in was dangerous isn't the same as telling an individual you ARE going to die. One cop doing his duty isn't the same as another cop being a thug. 9/11 cops and thug cops as a comparison is an insult to those who lost their lives...something the thug apologists like yourself do regularly. There was never a thread on the forum, the subject of which could have been the dedication and bravery of those police, firefighters and others who gave their lives that day. Instead there was a thread dedicated to the subject of a 9/11 "inside job", big conspiracy garbage. To be fair there were some on the forum who did post words of sympathy and praise for the victims and those who died in attempts to save them on that ridiculous thread. I think this thread was the masterpiece of vResistence if I remember correctly. Lately no thread on the three Americans who successfully foiled the attempted mass shooting on a French train by a Moroccan terrorist. I was under suspension at the time so that's my excuse I'm not whinging or complaining about the bias shown by many on the forum on matters pertaining to the US. Everyone is entitled to an opinion If members like yourself and Timeh choose to see everything in a negative light that's also fine. There is probably a reason behind it but I couldn't care less or give a damn. Carry on the discussion and let opinions flourish
