ANGELFIRE1
Just another silly rule enforced on us by the nanny state. It's supposed to help reduce car theft, but for the love of God how it helps stop theft escapes me when you can get "illicit" plates from almost anywhere. Angel1. geared
I don't think most criminals go to the bother of having plates made up to be honest, they just walk down any street with a screwdriver and take a few sets off some cars.
Obelix
There are number plates available on EBAY which the sellers claim are road and MOT legal . I don't understand why it's a problem showing proof of entitlement . Because do you really want some spotty kid in Halfords harvesting the names and address of all the nice cars so the local scrotes can come round and pinch bits off them....? Fair point , these spotty kids time can be spent more constructively harvesting cloned number plates so the local scrotes can get away with any motoring offences recorded on CCTV . Do you really want your number plate cloned ?
