Obelix
I see the frotherati of Sheffield Forum are getting good and frothy at the jaws again... 1. He's not "been release" 2. He's not even "going to be released" 3. He's not even as of yet moved to an open prison All that has happened is that the parole board have said he is suitable. That's all. Nothing else. Now please, stop frothing. It's embarrassing to think I actually spent time in the same city as some of you lot.
Happ Hazzard
You can't say with any certainty that he is not going to be released.
Obelix
You can't say with any certainty that he is not going to be released. "Road rage killer Kenneth Noye has been told he will not be released from jail on licence, the Parole Board has said." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-34318872 Want me to rub your nose in it any further? Happ Hazzard
I do not believe that story is saying he will never be released, just that he is not being granted parole on this occasion.
Onthetyne
I do not believe that story is saying he will never be released, just that he is not being granted parole on this occasion. That is correct,
Obelix
I do not believe that story is saying he will never be released, just that he is not being granted parole on this occasion. Then you would be wrong. But that's no surprise to you surely.
Happ Hazzard
I don't think I am wrong. The story is vague but I do not believe it is saying that Kenneth Noye will never be released from prison.
Obelix
Yeah sure like whatever you say HH you are always soo right. Me I'll believe the parole board saying that, and I quote, from the article and many other sources... "Kenneth Noye has been told he will not be released from jail on licence" Please note from a life sentence, you are never released - it's either a quashed sentence, or a release on licence. Noye isn't being released, except in some HH dreamed up fantasy land.
Happ Hazzard
Most people understand the concept of "released" to mean "let out of prison". And I believe the justice system will let Kenneth Noye out of prison at some point. If it wasn't for public opinion being so against it and the press covering it, he'd be out now.
