Protesting outside conferences

Recommended Posts

Does that include the "Tory scum" being people like you and me?

What do you think of this sort of thing with a group of women on the main stage signing their little ditty "Do One You Tory Scum"

These are Corbyn's people.

Not seen that before.

I do not approve of that either.

Let's keep it respectful.

Whose the nasty party again...?

And who chucks pensioners out of conference?

And who throws eggs at their own MP's - even if it was Prescott?

the Left need to clean their act up and have needed to for a very long time.

I don't object to a peaceful protest but I read that there was an egg thrown and spitting which could have escalated into something worse - if that's the way they want to be seen then even their own parties may disassociate themselves from them.

Anyone got any links to "spitting, throwing, fighting, asaulting".

I've searched and can find plenty of "banner waving and loud chanting". I'm prepared to believe there was "swearing", although the audio was rubbish.

Egg throwing was mention by someone who seems to have seen footage of it but context and circumstances are important - What distance? Accuracy? Provocation? Who buys just one egg to throw? Ostrich egg??

Journalists including Channel 4 News presenter Michael Crick, LBC political editor Theo Usherwood and Huffington Post reporter Owen Bennett were spat on by protesters.

Mr Crick wrote on Twitter: "Anarchists shout 'Tory scum' at us as we enter Conservative conference, and I was spat at. Thankfully the police came to my rescue."

isn't it odd how the real scum shout scum at folks going about their righful business?

I was there and I witnessed it.

There was a rent a mob just spoling for a fight. They wanted to restart the poll tax riots from the feel of it.

Same old whiny mardy Lefty activists - we didn't get what we wanted and now we are going to get face on and have a huge sulk and smash everything up like a giant two year old crybaby.

Sadly this time, they've got their posterboy in as Leader of the opposition. It's going to get very ugly if this bunch carries on.

I don't think most Labour supporters want to be associated with this type of protestor or those that organise or participate in protest marches.

In fact I think it will influence people not to vote Labour.

I agree. How do we know these people aren't just Tory infiltrators, disguising themselves as socialist protesters, to give The Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn a bad name. :suspect:

70,000 people protesting, and only 4 arrests, that is much better than most football matches.
