Steel City Beer & Cider Festival : 21st-24th October 2015

I enjoyed it, and had some good beers from the usual suspects (North Riding, Waen, Bad Seed, and (ahem) Steel City!). Back tonight, upstairs (having spent all last night in the tent)

I feel like such a hipster though after one of my beers (Chasing the Dragon) was included by the streetfood van as a beer+food pairing with a pulled pork sarnie!

Would it be even more hipstery if served in one of the drinking horns on sale upstairs?

My surprise hit of the evening was the True North Rhubarb Stumble, who would have thought that would actually be nice...

Results of the champion beer competition are on Twitter @SCBF41 - I'll post them on here later.

Finally bit of a travel warning for tonight - no trams between Shalesmoor and Middlewood/Malin Bridge, so if you are coming from the Hillsborough area it is suggested you use bus services instead - 57/79/79a/81/82/84/85/85a and get off the stop after Shalesmoor roundabout and walk up Bowling Green Street and Alma Street to the festival.

Got to say, the votes at CAMRA festivals are getting better. Some decent beers amongst that list.

Why not? Ilkey Siberia is a cracking beer of the same ilk. Or are you just dissing True North? Which is most unlike you... ;c)

You'd better have left some Baize! My mate loves it and he's a big lad! ;c)

Will be there later...

Had a great night there last night; well done to all involved. Good beer, good music and managed to get a seat. Venue is excellent; went last year and it restored my faith in beer festivals having not been to one for years.

Only downer was the tram. Ended up driving to the venue and will have to pick up the car today. What is it with Stagecoach trying to stop me going to beer festivals? The trams were not running normally for the 3 Rivers or Magna festivals and yesterday they had the smash.
