Thanks to all those who have visited the festival so far, all the comments so far seem quite positive, really pleased you have enjoyed it.

Good news on the tram front - normal service is running today.

The festival is open again today (Friday) from midday to 11pm. Live music tonight at 9pm is provided by the Downtown Roots, we have BenZ around throughout the day providing at table entertainment with magic and humour and hopefully the museum's steam powered River Don Beam Engine will be fired up for a demo at 6pm and 8pm. Plus of course beer, cider and food...

We do expect Friday night to be busy, so we suggest getting down early to avoid the queues! Friday entry is £5 (reduced to £2 for CAMRA members), note there is a 50% discount for those getting in before 5pm. On top of the entry fee it is £2 for your glass which is refundable if you don't wish to keep it and programmes should you want one are £1 (info is online at steelcitybeerfestival.co.uk).

Evening: Live music at 8pm with the Rock'n'Rollaz

Entry from 5pm is £6, or £3 for CAMRA members, including £2 refundable deposit on the glass.

All day - old fashioned pub games and tombola.

Beer tokens to spend at the bars on sale within the venue.

Surely £6 after 5pm is a bit steep since there isnt much left on when I left a hour ago, I went for the afternoon session and loads of empty barrels, probably from Friday night, first 3 days were fab and had a great time, tried what I wanted to. Attendance was impressive which you expect from a city like Sheffield renound for ale drinkers (look at all the ale pubs we have).

Staff were very friendly, nice food great venue but there is going to be alot of disappointing people from 5pm onwards with only pale ales on and the standard porters.

Indeed, it's a sell out and the festival gate is now closed.

There is enough beer for those already in to keep drinking whilst the band is on.

The beer list this year ran to 217 beers including the extras shipped in for Saturday, a dramatic increase on the 150 last year, however the festival has proved extremely popular, busy all sessions, massively above expectation.

Roll on next year and an even bigger beer list.

Thanks to all those who attended this year.
