aliceBB
A significant number of headteachers (and deputy heads) are also Ofsted inpsectors although they they would not inspect their own schools. El Cid, why do you have a problem with that?

El Cid, why do you have a problem with that? Just googling for a list of inspectors and found this .... "He has singled out the Lead Inspector, John Townsley, who is the Chief Executive of a Leeds based academy chain, for particular criticism. He states “John Townsley is something of a controversial figure in education circles and is seen as a very strong supporter of the former Secretary of State, Michael Gove’s Academy programme. It looks like he came with his mind made up, and the report already half written”." http://www.kings-grove.cheshire.sch.uk/website/documents/ofsted/Press_Release_-_KGS_Ofsted_December_2014.pdf

It seems that you've cleared your own concerns.

Well I do hope that Pat Smith that was complaining about John Townsley does not inspect any of his schools; but I guess there will be a procedure that rules that out, some sort of Ofsted inspector selection process.
