Taxpayer support

Recommended Posts

This dog certainly thinks it's barking mad that we pay people more money in benefits at the expense of hardworking taxpayers. It's plain wrong.

You obviously feel people should earn more on benefits thn those working full time.

Woof

It's not representative of the norm, and the cuts that this will be used to justify won't be targeted at people like this, but at everyone who is in work and claims benefits.

It's just a continuation of the theme of turning people against each other, whilst quietly selling off the institutions of the country in order to enrich the people currently in government.

It certainly isn't envy. I don't really do envy. It is despair at a system that allows this to happen. A system that encourages people to claim benefits rather than work harder. Work smarter. better themselves and the country as a whole. It is the road to ruin.

If this were common you might be right, but you know as well as everyone else that people like this are a tiny minority.

Well it will certainly alert taxpayers as to where their money has been going. It must be depressing for people to work hard all day to support people who are legitimately claiming far more than they earn.

It's wrong and after all these years it needs to be addressed.

I've seen it myself on several occasions. It is not rare.

People are discouraged from working by over generous benefits.

People come to the UK from all over to claim our over generous benefits.

They should be targeted at the poor who have fallen on hard times until they are back on their feet. They should be encouraging people to work NOT discouraging them.

Do you not claim everything you can?

Yes, but I'm not complaining about it. You put yourself in a position of complaining then go further and say "Wish I could". Do you understand the concept of hypocrisy?

By your own definition you claim higher standards than is the reality it would seem.

Quite honestly its far more depressing to see hundreds of thousands of individuals and companies gaming the system in order to avoid as much tax as possible.

Yet again they get you looking at the likes of Prudham who will account for trifling sums of money in comparison to those at the top. Those at the top get to pay people to help them cream as much out the system as possible and you no doubt will back systematic tax avoidance to the hilt. You should do (if you want to be consistent) because its just the same kind of gaming of the system that Prudham does.

What kind of a social security system allows this to happen?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3269511/Britain-s-Shameless-mother-twelve-rakes-40-000-year-benefits-reveals-spent-1-300-gifts-son-s-sixth-birthday-tells-taxpayers-ve-got-opinion-stuffed.html

I don't blame the woman for scrounging every penny she can, but this kind of lifestyle should not be possible at the expense of hardworking taxpayers.

What sort of system allows serial tax avoiders to provide the government with advice about tax loopholes?

I have done nothing like any of that. You misquote me. I don't "wish I could". Perhaps you could show me where I have said what you quote?

Where do I claim to have higher standards?

Your whole post is errant nonsense at best and complete lies more likely.

Have you actually read my posts?

There's a tax avoidance thread somewhere. Go post on that. Or you could even start your own. This is about benefits. :loopy:

The whole freaking benefits system is out of order. It wasn't what was intended when it was set up by the post WW2 Labour government. It has caused a breakdown in morals in Britain, it is morally wrong to have children in full knowledge that you will be reliant on benefits to support them. Let alone to use the benefits to shower them with gifts far beyond which working people can afford for their children. I honestly think that it has done more harm than good.

"People like this are in the minority." so are murderers, rapists and thieves, they also shouldn't be tolerated in society.

I will be £1,500 worse off in 2016, due to lower tax credits. I earn a measly £13k; I wonder if the Government are going after this couple; still not read the article ;)

Most people will be better off and those that aren't can just work an extra few hours a week to make up what they loose.

Prudham is only doing what aggressive tax avoiders do. It's a symptom of the same pattern of behaviour. Just like them she is stretching the rules to the legal limit to acheive the best possible outcome for herself.

I strongly dislike both but it seems you like one and not the other. To you somehow hundreds of thousands of tax avoiding toffs are behaving virtuously but a handful of very large families like Prudham's are the scum of the earth. Hypocritical Ron.

Funnily enough what tinfoil said.

the article claims she spent £12,000 on presents, but her child benefit for 12 kids amounts to £7700, so £4,300 to make up from elsewhere. Its possible she could have spen that much, but she would have to be feeding and clothing all 14 of them on the rest of her income. Apparently its on a TV prog, so watch it, but they tend to be detail light.

Part of the benefit is because she has 12 kids so they need a larger house. They are the exception not the rule. She is disgusting though and loving the attention. If she was as reluctant as she says she is, then she has managed to get herself in the papers and on tv. Its like White Dee all over again.

White Dee said she was too depressed to work but not depressed enought o star on a TV show, Big Brother or go on nice jollies in Spain getting trollied.
