jemson
Horns is to be demolished to make way for a housing development although that hasn't received planning permission as yet. Hearty Oak is still on the market by the looks of it. Both potentially nice pubs. I can see HO going residential soon too. The Forum Chain ought at look at it! There would be no point in 2 of the same types of pub in the same area. Have you ever been in the british oak at mosborough or the broadfield on abbydale rd/ london rd ? If so i wouldnt be suprised if it is based on these 2 as that is what the owner seems to do but in different areas, these 2 are a great success and vertually the same. We go to the Broady pretty often. Great place for food or drink.

LeMaquis
I've noticed over the past week or so that the mental barriers around the car park of the Blue Stoops have been removed. Mental barriers? Were they causing a psychological divide?

scottf
The Blue Stoops will also be taking part in the Three Valleys Festival on the 4th June. I saw that, if there not starting until the spring thats going to be one hell of a challenge to get it finished for then- the whole place needs to be gutted to start again. I agree. I drive past it on a daily basis on my commute to work and still no sign of the work starting any time soon. Car park still fenced off etc. Cutting it fine for a June open to coincide with 3 Valleys.
