Eric Arthur
What British cars? Surely you are trolling now. You need to go and answer that question for yourself instead of expecting people to answer such basic questions that you don't know the answer to. The UK car industry is in very good health. Just because Nissan builds cars in this country doesn't make it a British car. The workers have jobs and pay taxes in UK, but all the profits go to the parent company overseas. exxon
Just because Nissan builds cars in this country doesn't make it a British car. The workers have jobs and pay taxes in UK, but all the profits go to the parent company overseas. Apart from a few specialist cars, most of our British car industry has been bought up by foreign companies I didn't ask about it being a British car. I asked "Do you buy British made cars and other goods that use British steel" As you seem keen on the twisty turny bit I'll make it rather easier. Do you buy cars that are built in Britain by British workers using steel made in Britain? It's not exactly a complicated concept, and on a thread where you are lamenting that we don't support our home steel industry, one that is rather relevant. . Anna B
Do you buy cars built in the UK from UK made steel? I've no idea. Do you? Please tell me how I can trace the origins of the steel used to make my car and I'll let you know. Same applies to my washer, cooker, and other house hold appliances. Is anything made in one country these days? I thought all the bits came from different places.
