Halibut
It would probably have been better if the Yanks had disposed of this geezer . Advocating murder? How very like you. You'd deprive a wife of her husband and children of their father based on nothing more than suspicion. You really are a nasty piece of work. Whilst I understand that it isn't an original slogan, your point is undermined by having "this machine kills facists" makes the above post seem somewhat hypocritical. The disposal of Osama Bin Laden rather than capturing him alive avoided the problem of what to do with him . Shaker Aamer has only himself to blame for a wife being deprived of her husband and children of their father for so many years . The Americans still claim they have plenty of evidence that Shaker Aamer was an enemy combatant and the fact he was not charged does not signify anything . It's a disgrace our Government have allowed this Saudi Arabian citizen to return to Britain when so many British soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan and the war against Muslim terrorists is far from over . Cyclone
How is advocating the execution of someone without a trial a "fair comment". Maybe if you're some kind of barbarian it's "fair", but not in a civilised country.

No, what is the disgrace was that, if what you say is true, the government acted in such a way that it became impossible for Shaker Aamer to be held accountable and face justice. It's a disgrace the British Government got involved and spent tax payers money in a case of a Saudi Arabian citizen who chose by his own free will to go and reside in Afghanistan . Gamston
Are you suggesting that "foreigners" shouldn't be able to hold our government accountable for their actions? No , I am suggesting the British Government should act on behalf of British Citizens who are in prisons on foreign soil and not foreign prisoners . The Saudi Arabian Government have been acting on behalf of their own prisoners held at Guantanomo, so there was certainly no need for Britain to get involved in Shaker Aamer's case . Except the claim against him is based on being tortured by agents of the britsih government which you seem to approve of. You also seem to approve of detention without trial and make a mocker of the UK having a developed legal system that respects the rights of individuals. Btw you arent really arguing Gamston, you are just being a hypocrite without logic or reason.
