Tim1
Thats very funny. It obviously includes you also for taking the time to moan about people who moan.. I know lol. I better get to bed! The bin lorry might wake me up. I will then have to log in and whine and moan lol. Although its recycling week so the lorry does not come until the afternoon
Isabelle
I lived in a flat on Middlewood Road, above one of the shops. A lorry used to come and empty the bins of the nearby takeaways at 4.45am, and they were never quiet. The trams never bothered me, I quite liked the noise, apart from when they used the horn

Although its recycling week so the lorry does not come until the afternoon It is incredibly annoying to be woken up consistently, at the same time, by something that shouldn't happen. We've had the same alarm in the neighbourhood go off every morning at 3-4 AM some years ago, it drives people nuts. We've had a period where the illegal scrap men came through the road every night to plunder the three containers from building work, music blaring, shouting at each other over the music, slamming doors, slamming stuff in the back of the van. As an exception, fine, but when it becomes habit it isn't on. That is why there are restrictions and companies should stick to those restrictions whether they like it or not. Hello/Goodby
Thank you for all your replies and views. Ive contacted the appropriate department advised and because in the area where Biffa are collecting from so early has been explained to me it is not in a busy area where there's no parking problems or traffic later on in the day that there's no reason to be so early and that they should never have been going there in a residential area in the first place just after 5am. The waste that is been collected are from large shops waste and the banging is really loud. The matter is been taken very serious from the city council. geared
It might be a good idea to contact Biffa again and tell them the matter is now being dealt with by the council, they might get off their ass and do something if they know they are likely to get in trouble.
