JackK0
Hello I was wondering if anyone knew if going from the steam room then into the cold pool had any health benefits ?
Mister M
I'm not sure to be honest....Unless you've got a weak heart I don't suppose it can do you much harm. I like the idea of a swim - not too keen on the idea of a steam or sauna!
JackK0
Yeah someone told me it is good for you but I was wondering how / what are any benefits of doing it?
PeteMorris
I found this, which possibly could explain the benefits, although I'm not expert. http://dellaterrawellness.com/the-health-benefits-of-saunas-and-what-you-might-be-doing-wrong/

tzijlstra
Hello I was wondering if anyone knew if going from the steam room then into the cold pool had any health benefits ? There is no solid scientific evidence as far as I am aware. However as someone who used to swim in natural water around 5 degrees celsius regularly, I can say that it certainly revives you. Not got any real experience with sauna's though, but I assume the temperature gap increases the revitalisation.

bkcin
Might be worth reading about heat shock and cold shock proteins.
