Mr Big Lad
What a waste of money. Who is paying for this do you know? How does switching all the lights off cost money? Pay a bit of respect to those Sheffielders who died 75 years ago.
Philster07
I've done abit of digging at it looks like its all centred around the moor with searchlights across the city. However the siren is also on the moor and will apparently be heard across the city. That's either one huge siren or its a hand cranked one that will only be heard up to the town hall. I'm guessing the latter due to the organisation so far.
gamezone07
Yes, it does seem to be a bit haphazard, but good on them for taking it on.

Hesther
People are being asked to black out their homes at 7:15 for two minutes as a mark of respect, I have read on the website the facebook page links to.

Guest
I don't see the point of this event what will happen next. Not sure what you mean by "what will happen next?", but this event is just to mark the 75th anniversary of the blitz in a tangible way. I imagine the sound of the siren and the sight of the search lights will go some way to bring home how frightening it must have been.
kevvy
I can't believe the negativity being aimed at this event. It was a life changing time for the people involved.
