EODM83
This was really really poorly organised - none of my neighbours or surrounding area turned out the lights. There was no sign of the search light and the sirens to be heard throughout the city was non existent - such a shame had potential to be a really interesting mark of respect! Guest
I think I'm right in saying that it was original WW2 lights and siren were used, so at least it was authentic. Serious question for the moan'os.... what were you wanting/expecting it to be like?
megalithic
To be honest I blame the stir for falsely advertising/announcing what was to happen. Sirens across the city they said, balloons, searchlights. Hardly correct reporting was it.
allwednesday
I'd intended making the 200 mile journey to witness this event. So glad I changed my mind! Yes Allen you had a lucky escape.
