Junior Doctors row: 98% vote to strike

What about this one from 2014.

NHS fraud and error 'costing the UK £7bn a year'

The Department of Health said it "did not recognise" the figures.

It is based on worldwide figures, which suggest average losses to fraud and error of just under 7% of healthcare budgets.

"If the NHS is in line with the rest of the world it is losing £7bn,"

It's a number that is entirely made up.

The fact that the new contract makes it safer for patients and doctors because it reduces the number of hours a doctor can work, it reduces the number on conceptive shifts a doctor can work, it will result in them being less tired.

The fact that the old contract allowed them to work more hours than is considered safe. The fact they didn't choose to strike about the old unsafe contract yet some claim they are striking because the new safer contract is unsafe.

This simply isn't true.

I keep hearing that but to date no one as been able to explain why, so I took it on myself to read both the old and the new and new is definitely safer for both doctors and patients, because it reduces the possibility of doctors being over worked and working whilst tired.

Wow - can you just pop down to the northern general and explain it to them then please - the sooner they understand that your right and they are wrong the better all round - have you called the BMA and told them

They already know that they're wrong. They just think there's a chance they can win and they don't want to lose face by backing down.

The best way hunt can modernise the NHS is to resign and let some one with some sense do his job

Hunt isn't responsible for the new contract, it was negotiated by the Chief Executive of Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and a team of experts in their field.

Well maybe Hunt and crew should not have taken it all at face value and used thier own brains instead of overpaying so called experts

So you think that Hunt is better qualified than the Chief Executive of Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and other experts? Also how do you know they were overpaid?

So Hunt has no sense yet you want him to use his own brain? Isn't that a bit contradictory..?
