LeMaquis
Seems to me that he's saying he did his best, but since this happened on his watch, he's taking responsibility for it. Good on him. We could use more politicians with that kind of integrity. Integrity in your book being about lying that he didn't know about someone hounded to suicide. Classy. ---------- Post added 29-11-2015 at 09:24 ---------- What has this thread really got to do with politics ? Maybe it's because it concerns a political party. ---------- Post added 29-11-2015 at 09:25 ---------- I don't really understand the reason why the OP started this thread . What are we suppose to discuss about this human tragedy ? Funnily enough that's exactly what Grant Schapps thought.
Eric Arthur
He wrote a suicide note which mentioned bullying by party officials. I'm wondering why he thought it was better to write a suicide note instead of a resignation letter to the party.
Mister M
I'm wondering why he thought it was better to write a suicide note instead of a resignation letter to the party. Perhaps the bullying drove him to suicide? What other reason could there be? Edited November 29, 2015 by Mister M
Eric Arthur
Perhaps the bullying drove him to suicide? What other reason could there be? Suicide seems like an extreme method of resigning from a political party. Maybe, there is more to it.
spilldig
Funny how all the Tories on here queue up to post on Labour-related threads but when it's their own party in the news then for some inexplicable reason they go missing What. You mean the same as labour supporters do.
Mister M
Suicide seems like an extreme method of resigning from something you can just leave. Well yes - but I guess he got so low that he felt he had no other choice.
Eric Arthur
There are a million other choices though Mister M. Not being an activist would be an easy one to start with. Maybe there is more to it. Maybe he had other life issues.
Hogg
Funny how some posters try denying the validity of the discussion. Wait a minute, perhaps they are Tories. RIP Elliot Johnson, bullied to death.

RIP Elliot Johnson, bullied to death. It isn't remotely funny. Neither is it amusing to use a suicide for political point scoring. You are a disgrace to the human race.
