Oldham West and Royston by-election. Corbyn's big test.

Recommended Posts

Corbyn represents the public sector unions.

If you want the entire country run for the benefit of those who are supposed to be employed to serve it, he's your man

Not really if he is threatening thousands of jobs with his policies.

maybe he does, maybe he doesnt, but we sure as hell know the Tories dont give a fig about helping the working class..........so nothing to lose really

Right. Sure. That makes sense.

The massive increase in the income tax threshold and the huge hike in the minimum wage are some kind of cunning plan to hurt the poor I suppose?

There is so much to lose. Socialism kills the economy. Like it or not, that's how it is. Without private enterprise, there's nothing to tax. Corbyn would indeed reduce the gap between rich and poor. But the poor would be a hell of a lot poorer than they are now.

This is the politics of jealousy. It destroys nations. History is unequivocal on the matter. Ideaology cannot overpower reality.

I used to want what you want. I really did. I suppose I still do. It just doesn't work. I wish it did.

Unless of course you're working like the Chinese and willing to take on masses of debt to help the Tory's banker friends

We've never been a socialist country, and nobody in any of the main parties is arguing that become one. Not even Corbyn

taking money from the poor, to give it to the rich, i dont make excuses for my hatred of the Tories..

i would rather see us all in the gutter, rather than just the poor in the gutter

That would be the minimum wage brought in by labour and opposed by the Tories?

I suppose Osborne's plans to cut tax credits was also helping the poor?

Whereas Capitalism kills the planet. Capitalism in its current form is simply not sustainable. Rampant consumerism will be the death of us all...

It doesn't matter what system [a group] of people try, capitalism is always there in some form, and increases as population increases. Eventually it wins over. It has done to a high extent since machines started doing the work... the industrial revolution. You can't stop it now, and that's why rich countries don't try to. I don't think they necessarily choose it.
