Oldham West and Royston by-election. Corbyn's big test.

Recommended Posts

Quite amusing to see the forum 'Kippers with quadruple omelette on their faces.

Even more amusing to see some of the "blame the electorate" drivel when they lose. Anyone for sour grapes?

I shall now head off to Tw@tter to see if Labour partisans are trying to claim all the victory credit for their own little internal factions....

Invited commentator on Sky yesterday was saying Labour was losing voters hand over fist because of Corbyn.

Today, they of course are saying this victory has nothing to do with Corbyn.:hihi::hihi::hihi:

Nice to see that Sky are maintaining their impartiality :hihi:

How is losing over six thousand voters between May and December a good thing for Labour?

It's a poor result for them no matter how much some people want to spin the statistics. Labour should be trouncing the opposition with more votes from this supposed army of motivated new Corbyn supporters?

They'll win it easily. Most voters there won't even know that Corbyn is the Labour leader.

It's has no bearing on his future. It's his own MPs that will oust him as even regardless of his ability to win an election he is ideologically at odds with them.

But he is the "real" socialist, aren't they ideologically at odds with him and their origins? I haven't considered Labour really socialist since Blair became leader.

One by-election doesn't make a 2020 Labour victory. Lets see how other by-elections pan out around the country first.

nobody is claiming a 2020 victory for Labour, but what Labour are claiming is........that Corbyn is indeed electable, and in my personnel opinion, to do so well after 2 months of constant media bias, is quite amazing :thumbsup:

I KNEW, just KNEW you would try to weasel out of it by using number of voters and COMPLETELY ignoring the FACT that voter share went up, which is the only thing that counts. Did you care about number of votes when the Tories one at the general election or did you care that they got more of the vote in a larger number of seats? So predictable. Far more predictable than the pre-vote polls! :hihi:

Very true. Although the fact that the British media got this one so badly wrong can't be ignored.

They got it wrong because they get Corbyn wring. They were beginning to believe all the drivel / deliberate misinformation they give out, so this is par for the course.

They just can't conceive that many Labour voters like Corbyn, in spite of their poisonous efforts.

To be honest, a lot of the posters on here have been taken in by all this Media spin, they keep spouting that "Corbyn is unelectable"...time and time again, they havent quite worked out its all media spin and that the establishment are actually crapping themselves because they are so gullible,
