tzijlstra
Am I the only one who thinks it odd that we are discussing a lawn mower not working... in the middle of December?
carosio
Probably wants to establish that it works before leaving it till the spring.
Sufc2012
I believe it to be the coil but been quoted £65/85 just for the part fitted plus needs new pull start another £20/30 if I get it my self can't find the coil for this model online
RootsBooster
If you weren't getting a spark it won't have been the plug anyway. Must be something with the coil or whatever generates the spark. (Magneto/ Coil pack or Electronic ignition module) Of course it could have been the spark plug, they do fail from time to time. smithy266
Am I the only one who thinks it odd that we are discussing a lawn mower not working... in the middle of December? Not at all! Be prepared for the spring..... mower repair shops are flooded out with work at the start of the season. Meanwhile, I am having the same trouble with my Petter Maclaren stationary engine! All advice on these topics is welcome.

Aye, I agree, it is useful to be prepared, it is why we had sandstone slabs put down to cover the grass (in shade, wet ground, disaster) years ago! Maybe I am just forgetting what it is like to have to mow the lawn, or indeed keep the stationary engine going. (What do you use a stationary engine for???)
