Has anyone taken Venlafaxine/effexor before?

Im due to start these tablets soon but im fairly horrified by the online reviews in regards to side effects and withdrawal symptoms from being only a few hours late on a dose.

 

Can anyone please divulge their own experience so I can make a decision as to whether to start them?

My OH takes this and absolutely swears by it....it is brilliant. I truly wouldn't be put off by everything you read, in our case this drug has been wonderful so please give it a go and keep an open mind. Best of luck, let us know how you get on!

The worst thing you can do when about to start taking prescription drugs is read online reviews (apart from this one!)

 

As with Huxley, my better half also takes venlafaxine - she suffers no I'll effects from it and no obvious withdrawal symptoms if she misses a day
