Mister M
I'm not a fan of Waltzers - love big dippers, and log flumes especially!
Guest
...(edit: this one) - just don't sit the wrong side of someone heavy That was my favourite. We called it the scrambler. I can't do the tall scary ones - weak stomach for heights. I remember the log flume at Alton Towers in the mid 80s, and the other water one with the huge tyre boat things that seated about six. Can't remember what it was called now
jane2008
Wasn't the Waltzer and speedway the same machine - Just with different things attached to it? That was my memory of it. I also like the Cyclone, but it was probably called different things in different places. (edit: this one) - just don't sit the wrong side of someone heavy No, the car you was sat on, on the waltzer went round whilst going round, while on the speedway the whole thing just went round. I've got to admit I did like the speedway when you could stand up and lean against the barriers
*_ash_*
That was my favourite. We called it the scrambler. I can't do the tall scary ones - weak stomach for heights. I remember the log flume at Alton Towers in the mid 80s, and the other water one with the huge tyre boat things that seated about six. Can't remember what it was called now The rapids it was called when I last went. It's probably called something more modern now. It was a right let down as I recall No, the car you was sat on, on the waltzer went round whilst going round, while on the speedway the whole thing just went round. I've got to admit I did like the speedway when you could stand up and lean against the barriers It might be a different speedway then. They change names, e.g. the Scrambler above ^^ The one at Endcliffe park seemed the same as the Waltzer. It had a couple of humps, then the back bit was pretty flat. Were you one of the cool kids then that leant on them?
