Nuisance calls ?

Recommended Posts

I know this idea may not suit everyone - and I'll probably get shot down - but my technique with numbers I don't recognise is to let it ring until the voicemail kicks in - if the call is genuine, they usually leave a message, and I call back. If it is a spam call, it cuts off, and the only 'inconvenience' is having to wait until the v-m cuts in.

I did have a spell where I got regular calls from 3 or 4 numbers, even after using the above idea on them for quite a while, so just answered them in the name of a ficticous company, and voila! - no more calls.

I get an average of 10 bogus calls a month now - and always check them through Google, and/or the site mentioned by mecheng46.
