Itrytoplease
The pound coin as we know it is about to be replaced by a 12 sided coin, it will be phased in over time. I liked the 3d bit, nice to see it back (with inflation) lol What do you think?

I liked the 3d bit, nice to see it back (with inflation) lol What do you think? Going to cost a fortune to have all the coin machines adapted to take the new coin . Vague_Boy
....in modernising the iconic £1 coin Is it really iconic? How iconic are the fakes? ...and according to The Royal Mint, by 1980 it had “become apparent that with the general decline in purchasing power, the £1 unit of currency was more appropriate to a coin than a banknote.” LINK Yep, that's how the iconic pound coin got its start, runaway inflation in the 1970s leading (by 1983) to a British pound that was a sorry shadow of its former self..
