I used to work there in the warehouse. for about 15 years. Shame it's closed or closing. I have got some good memories from that place. suzyoo Posted December 20, 2015 Share Posted December 20, 2015 yes its all shut down, the boiler house and number 1 and 2 machine house have been leveled. number 3 machine was taken out a couple of years ago. the warehouse, conversion, and number3 machine house are still standing at the moment. John Woodrow There's a group on Facebook called Oughtibridge Paper Mill which appears very active despite the closure of the mill and has some great photos, both historical and fairly recent. I did a seven month contract there when it was Georgia Pacific, looking after the onsite IT. The papermaking side closed during that period (Sep 07-May 08).
