Manlinose
I do not go to any weddings, christenings etc because none of those involved are actually believers, they just want a nice church for the photos, very sad reason. If you mean it is a sad reason not to go to a church wedding to which you have been invited, you are correct Does it really matter why the wedding is in a church? Can't you just wish the happy couple well and help them enjoy their day?

No,sick of plastic Christians, funny enough none of them have been in a church since unless attending another wedding or christening.I always tell them why I will not be there and wish them well. I1L2T3
Midnight mass appears very popular, but what's the point of going once a year to deprive all the regulars of their seats? Not really. I'm not that religious but my wife and kids are. They'll be at mass tomorrow and as its a very important time of year for them I go along too. 999tigger
Not really frequency, but if you spend the rest of the year slating religion and mocking it then, yes.

fatrajah
Not much hypocrisy around our way: normal sunday attendance=8; midnight mass attendance=10.

RootsBooster
Not really frequency, but if you spend the rest of the year slating religion and mocking it then, yes. I would say it all depends on the reason(s) a person would go. For example, if the person had fond childhood memories of being taken to midnight mass by long-dead parents or grandparents, then they may go simply for the memories of lost loved ones.
